Front Yard Haven
This project is an example of an unused front yard turned into a relaxing living space for a yoga and dance teacher who loves bright colors and flowing earthy shapes.
She was frustrated living on a hillside with no back yard and only a small front porch to enjoy the outdoors. To create a larger outdoor experience we built a flagstone patio off the front of the house bringing people into the landscape and providing a pleasant space to linger.
Two small entrances were combined to create a grand entrance of stone steps laid in a concave pattern, creating an attractive welcoming experience.
Plants were chosen for their durability and vivid year-round color.
